Even I am not above purchasing patterns and rhymes when my creative juices are running low. Five Little Clouds is a free pattern by Kate over at Felt Board Magic. Kate has some really cute patterns that I like to re-purpose elements into other rhymes.
This is a simple little flannel to put together and works great with weather and astronomy themes. I got the idea from Amy over at One Little Librarian. I like how you can use the clouds to hide the suns instead of removing the suns from the flannel board.
Start by covering each sun with a white cloud. “I have some clouds to show you. It looks like something is trying to peek through those clouds!” Uncover the suns as you sing.
1 little, 2 little, 3 little sunshines, 4 little, 5 little, 6 little sunshines, 7 little, 8 little, 9 little sunshines, 10 little sun are out today!
“Uh oh, looks like it’s getting cloudy again!” Cover the suns back up while singing the second verse.
9 little, 8 little, 7 little sunshines, 6 little, 5 little, 4 little sunshines, 3 little, 2 little, 1 little sunshine, No little suns are out today.
Count the Pumpkins A little pumpkin make a small circle A middle sized pumpkin a larger circle A great big pumpkin I see biggest circle Now let’s count the pumpkins 1 2 3!
Itsy Bitsy Spider The itsy, bitsy spider climbed up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun and dried up all the rain, So the itsy, bitsy spider went up the spout again.

These songs are not strictly Halloween themed but are perfect for the season.
Leaves are Falling by Miss Carole
We wiggle our fingers in a downward mortion to simulate the falling leave and point to our nose, toes, head, ears, and elbows
Pumpkin, Pumpkin by Miss Carole
I pull out the shakers for this song. We shake to the beat as well as draw circles, triangle, and a smiley mouth in the air.
