Gifts for Mommy by Carole Peterson
Bees, dinosaurs, crocodiles, and grizzly bears make great presents for mommy. Carole Peterson provides the movement to accompany the song on her website.

Mother and Baby Match

I got the idea for this flannel board from Jen. I used photos on actual animals instead of felt because I wanted children to have realistic images to put with the proper names. Everything was printed on card stock and laminated for durability since I have children come up to help me and do the actual matching of animals as I read the rhyme. There is Velcro on the back to get it to stick to the felt board.

Mother and Babies Match

Start with one baby animal on the flannelboard.

This baby makes a mooing sound
When his mother’s not around.
Calf is the name of this baby.
What is his mother called?
COW!

Add the mother to the flannelboard after the audience answers.
