To make the balloons I enlarged a clip art picture of a balloon using Microsoft Word and used it as a template to cut out the balloons. Then I sewed rick rack on as string. I think the rick rack is what really makes it cute.
Four big balloons, colorful and bright
The red one said, “I feel full and tight.”
The yellow one said, “What a beautiful sky.”
The green one said, “We’re up so high.”
The blue one said, “I can see the bay.”
Then all of them cried, “Oh no! We’re blowing away!”
Whooooooooosh went a playful gust of wind,
And the four big balloons were never seen again.
