Good-Night, Owl!

“Good-Night, Owl!” is a book written by Pat Hutchins. The story is simple to retell as you keep adding another set of birds to the menagerie. In the interest of copyright I’m not including a copy of the text. The book is still published and easy to obtain.

This is one of my more ambitious endeavors as I hand sewed so many different birds. I got the template for the birds from Downeast Thunder Farm. Susan makes patterns for many different bird and critter ornaments. I like the more realistic nature of them as I think it provides a subtle way of introducing children to the variety of forms animals are found in.
