Night Moon, Night Moon What Do You See?

Night Moon, Night Moon what do you see?
I see a yellow star smiling at me!

Yellow Star, Yellow Star, what do you see?
I see a blue cloud smiling at me!

Blue Cloud, Blue Cloud, what do you see?
I see a raindrop smiling at me!

Raindrop, Raindrop, what do you see?
I see a rainbow smiling at me!

Rainbow, Rainbow, what do you see?
I see a bright sun smiling at me!

Bright Sun, Bright Sun what do you see?
I see lots of pretty things smiling at me!

Five Hungry Ants

Five Hungry Ants is a popular flannel board with children’s librarians. Storytime Katie and Miss Mary Liberry are two of the many librarians who have told this rhyme. I have kids pretend to be the ant and “sneeze” whenever we get to the pepper. Pipe cleaners make for cute little antenna.

Five hungry ants, marching in a line,
Came upon a picnic where they could dine.
They marched into the salad,
They marched into the cake,
They marched into the pepper…uh, oh, that was a mistake!
Ahhhh-Chooo!
