Falling Leaves Little leaves falling down flutter fingers like falling leaves Red and yellow, orange and brown Whirling, twirling, round and round twirl hands in circles Falling softly to the ground flutter fingers to floor
Leaves Are Falling by Carole Stephens
During this song we wiggle our fingers in a downward motion to mimic the falling leaves and then point to our nose, toes, head, ears, and elbows.
This is one of those rhymes that has probably been around forever and I have no idea who wrote it originally. I found the words for this one as I was cleaning through drawers of flannel boards that have been collected over the years. I start the rhyme with the leaves laying on top of the branches and pull them off a wave them through the air as if the wind is blowing.
