And here’s a hill tilt right arm so that it forms a hill
All covered with snow raise hands up, bring down in slow motion
I’ll put on my coat put coat on
And jump on my sled hold the rope of a sled
And ZOOM, down the hill I will go! clap hands, slid hands down

Music

The Mitten Song by Rachel Buckman
This is one of my favorite songs for winter time!
Snowflake Snowflake by Carole Peterson
This works great with scarves. We twirl them, let them softly fall, and follow the actions of the music.
We’re Marching In the Snow by Carole Peterson
March, skate, run, roll, and tip-toe in the snow.
Winter Hokey Pokey
There is no music for this. We sing in a cappella as we dance along.
You put your mittens in, you take your mittens out
You put your boots in, you take your boots out
You put your hat in, you put your hat out
You put your coat in, you put your coat out

Snowflake, Snowflake by Carole Peterson
We pull out our scarves to wave along to the song. At the appropiate moments we will touch the ground, our noses, and toes with the scarves.

Five Little Snowflakes

Another quick five little rhyme. This time snow. I used a glittery white felt for the snowflake for some extra sparkle. It didn’t show up well in the picture. I experimented cutting the felt out using my cricut machine. It was a bit too futsy for my taste with the cutting mat’s tackiness being quickly overwhelmed with the felt.

One little snowflake with nothing to do,
Along came another and then there were two!

Two little snowflakes laughing with me,
Along came another and then there were three!

Three little snowflakes looking for some more,
Along came another and then there were four!

Four little snowflakes dancing a jive,
Along came another, and then there were five!

Five little snowflakes having so much fun!
Out came the sun, and then there were none!
