Flannel Boards

Music

Silly Dance Contest by Jim Gill
Be as silly as you want but stop when he says freeze.
There Came A Girl From France by Raffi
I think this is one Raffi’s lesser known songs. They only way to dance is to do a high step by bringing your knees up as high as you can.
Three Blind Mice by Caspar Babypants
This song starts with the familiar three blind mice and then gets silly. We run, dance, jump, climb, and sleep through the song.

Aikendrum

“Aikendrum” is well known to Raffi fans. I like using this flannel board with the music playing as we go along. It great for moon and silly storytimes.

There was a man lived in the moon, in the moon, in the moon
There was a man lived in the moon and his name was Aikendrum

And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle
He played upon a ladle and his name was Aikendrum

And his hair was made of spaghetti, spaghetti, spaghetti
His hair was made of spaghetti and his name was Aikendrum

And his eyes were made of meatballs, meatballs, meatballs
His eyes were made of meatballs and his name was Aikendrum

And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle
He played upon a ladle and his name was Aikendrum

And his nose was made of cheese, cheese, cheese
His nose was made of cheese and his name was Aikendrum

And his mouth was made of pizza, pizza, pizza
His mouth was made of pizza and his name was Aikendrum

And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle
He played upon a ladle and his name was Aikendrum

There was a man lived in the moon, in the moon, in the moon
There was a man lived in the moon and his name was Aikendrum
